Cervejaria Dádiva + Amager Bryghus | Point of View Coco

Cervejaria Dádiva + Amager Bryghus | Point of View Coco

We created a collaborative beer with the danish brewery Amager Bryghus and we were in doubt on what version would be better. We noticed that it's just a point of view. We want to know which is yours. The Point of View is a RIS with guava paste, in two versions, with and without the addition of coconut. (Source: Loosely translated from the brewery's advertising material.)

  • Beer: Point of View Coco
  • Style: Imperial Stout (29A. Fruit Beer - 20C. Imperial Stout with guava and coconut)
  • ABV: 10.5%
  • IBU: N/A
  • Breweries:
  • Look: dark color, turbid, with good formation of creamy light brown head.
  • Aroma: in the first plan, the coconut is really present, bringing notes of cocada. In a lower level, notes of guava are mixed with toasty, cocoa-like notes.
  • Taste: the taste follows the aroma quite closely, bringing remembrance of guava at first, but also coconut in the background. After the coconut goes away, the guava comes back, bringing some fruitiness. Toasty notes are present as well, giving balance to this sweet malt bill. Very low alcohol notes, as well as a light warming sensation, can also be perceived.
  • Mouthfeel: Full body, medium carbonation and a not dry and long finish.
  • Overall: Amazing RIS. A beautiful balance between coconut and guava. Would drink more of these.
