Cervejaria Dogma + Narrow Gauge Brewing Company | Hyperion

Hyperion is our collab with our friends from Narrow Gauge Brewing Company, from St. Louis, Missouri. A Double IPA that combines Citra, Enigma and Idaho 7 hops. Fruity and resinous, it has a round and full-bodied base. (Source: Loosely translated from the brewery's advertising material.)

  • Beer: Hyperion
  • Style: Double IPA (22A. Double IPA)
  • ABV: 8.0%
  • IBU: N/A
  • Breweries:
  • Look: yellow color, clear, with a great white head formation that leaves marks on the glass.
  • Aroma: very fruity aroma, bringing really intense pineapple and orange notes. Resinous and herbal notes are present in the background, but they become more evident as the beer heats on the glass.
  • Taste: its taste follows the aroma, bringing pineapple and resinous notes. Low alcohol notes are perceptible as well. There is a very low tea-like presence in the background. The bitterness is present in a medium level, without harshness.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-high body, medium-high carbonation and a dry and long finish.
  • Overall: Really good Double IPA. The fruitiness and the resinousity were a quite good match.
