Sensorial reviews of the beers I tried at home, which by no means I intend for them to be treated as professional. They are more like beer tasting and english writing exercises.

Cervejaria Hocus Pocus | Moonrock

Cervejaria Hocus Pocus | Moonrock

Moonrock is a 8.4% ABV NE (Double) IPA created to extract the max of the hops’ psychedelia, used in three shapes: extract, whole cones and lupulin powder. Each of these elements brings a different dimension of aroma and flavor to the beer: the extract reinforces the aroma in a resinous and concentrated way; the whole cone hops create citric aromas and flavors, reminding orange peel and tropical fruits; and the lupulin powder throws all this freshness to a whole another level, maximizing the aromas in an extremely clean way. The label represents in a faithful way the sensations of whom drinks the first sip of Moonrock.

Alenda Weisse | Heller Rauchweizendoppelbock

Alenda Weisse | Heller Rauchweizendoppelbock

Once we were on the porch tasting a Rauchweizen and, after that, a Heller Weizenbock. We looked at those two bottles and thought: let’s make a combination of these two little beauties… So we created a Heller Rauchweizendoppelbock, a light-colored beer that contains 95% of smoked malt on its recipe, being 60% of those wheat malt that was smoked using oak firewood. Be careful! It’s a Weizendopplebock, so it’s alcohol content may make you joyful before the third bottle.
