Salvador Brewing Co. | Chocolate Enigma

Chocolate Enigma is our homage to the british and polish mathematicians and cryptoanalysts, which were part of the challenge of breaking the "Enigma" code and contributed to the advance of many science areas, including artificial intelligence and computer science. A complex, dense and liquor-like beer that hides many notes that you don't perceive at a first analysis. Follow the steps of these great scientists when you taste this beer, and discover the encrypted message that we put on each layer of this 15% ABV Wheatwine. (Source: Loosely translated from the beer's label.)

  • Beer: Enigma
  • Style: Wheatwine (30A. Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer - 22D. Wheatwine with cacao nibs)
  • ABV: 15%
  • IBU: N/A
  • Brewery:
  • Look: copper color with rosé highlights, clear, with a low cream head formation;
  • Aroma: very present aroma of malt chocolate dominates the beer’s aroma. Cacao nibs notes can also be perceived;
  • Taste: on its taste, it has the same malt chocolate notes, along with a minor presence of alcoholic notes. Very light caramel notes are also present. The end of the sip leaves an elegant, cacao-like sweetness on the palate. As the beer heats on the glass, milk chocolate notes can be perceived;
  • Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium-low carbonation and a sweet and long finish;
  • Overall: one of the most surprising and best beers of the year. Feels like a chocolate liquor, but more elegant and with a drier feel. Spectacular.
