Salvador Brewing Co. | Engesa Oil - Coffee Edition

"For each engine, there's an oil. For each body, there's a great life shot." The restless minds can't stop creating! To those which are alive and ready for this new battle, look at this new classic with all due attention. Engesa Oil Coffee Edition is still robust in all its aspects: name, body and on the mouth. Dense, liquor-like and high a high ABV, it brings on these giants' dawn the personality of that coffee that we love so much. (Source: Loosely translated from the beer's label.)

  • Beer: Engesa Oil - Coffee Edition
  • Style: Russian Imperial Stout (30A. Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer - 20C. Imperial Stout with coffee extract)
  • ABV: 11.3%
  • IBU: 72
  • Brewery:
  • Look: black color, turbid, with a very low brown head formation;
  • Aroma: it presents a harmonious combination of roasted malt and coffee notes. In a very low level, alcohol notes can be perceived. As the beer heated on the glass, green beans notes were perceived.
  • Taste: its taste follows the aroma quite closely, but here the coffee is more present, in a dominating way. There is some sweetness as well, but low enough to not get in the way of the coffee. The end of the sip leaves roasted notes on the mouth.
  • Mouthfeel: Full body, medium carbonation and a sweet and long finish;
  • Overall: Great beer by Salvador. A delicious coffee-forward experience. One of my favorites from them.
