Salvador Brewing Co. + Overhop Brewing Co. | Skydive - Sour Juicy IPA Boysenberry

Overhop entered Salvador's Bunker gates and created an unique recipe in a four hands effort: malt, lots of hops, lactose and organic boysenberries from the Serra Gaucha. With an acidity in the right level and balanced with a velvety body! In an allusion to the prayer found in the pocket of a paratrooper that was killed in combat, we asked: Give me a glass of this Sour IPA! Give me this hop load! Give me this boysenberry nectar! Give me more of this Salvador / Overhop partnership! Give me Skydive Sour Juicy IPA Boysenberry! (Source: Loosely translated from the beer's label.)

  • Beer: Skydive - Sour Juicy IPA Boysenberry
  • Style: Sour IPA (29A. Fruit Beer - 21A. American IPA with boysenberry)
  • ABV: 6%
  • IBU: 45
  • Brewery:
  • Look: pink color, semiturbid, with a great frothy white head formation that leaves marks on the glass;
  • Aroma: in the foreground, there is a strong fruity presence, bringing remembrance of raspberry along with a lactic acidity. In the background, there is a lower presence of herbal, citric and perfume-like hop notes;
  • Taste: from the start, a pleasant combination of a citric fruitiness and herbal notes can be perceived. After that, raspberry notes combined with a citric fruitiness. The end of the sip leaves a light bitterness along with a medium sourness that welcomes the next sip;
  • Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium-high carbonation and a dry but short finish;
  • Overall: Very good Sour IPA from Salvador. A perfect balance between sourness and bitterness.
