Schneider Weisse | TAP 2 - Mein Kristall

Schneider Weisse | TAP 2 - Mein Kristall

Perfect for special occasions: "Mein Kristall" - the prickly crystal "Weissbier" free of yeast, the ideal choice for a stimulating aperitif, served in a fine tall glass. With its delicate carbonation it's a truly inspiring drink for getting attuned to a reception. It also goes astonishingly well with fish. But even in a classic wheat beer glass its never out of place. (Source: Extracted from the brewery's site.)

  • Beer: TAP 2 - Mein Kristall
  • Style: Kristallweizen (10A. Weissbier)
  • ABV: 5.3%
  • IBU: 16
  • Brewery:
  • Look: yellow color, transparent, with a great cream head formation that leaves marks on the glass;
  • Aroma: the yeast is the main character here, bringing a pleasant mix of clove and, in a lower level, banana notes. A light presence of yeast notes is present as well.
  • Taste: its taste follows the aroma closely: a mix of clove and banana notes. The aftertaste brings banana notes as well.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium-high carbonation and a dry and short finish;
  • Overall: Very good beer. I usually avoid weiss beers because it’s rare to find a good one, but you can’t go wrong with the classic breweries, as this was a delicious beer. Probably tastes even better if drank in Germany…
