Suricato Ales | Fábrica de Tretas

We have intolerance to stupidity. No wonder that we fight 1 with almost all the people that cross our way. Fighting 2 is life! And more: Milkshake IPA is a style and 'nuff said. Let the mimimi start. (Source: Loosely translated from the beer's label.)

  • Beer: Fábrica de Tretas
  • Style: Milkshake IPA (22A. Double IPA)
  • ABV: 5.5%
  • IBU: 60
  • Brewery:
  • Look: yellow color, turbid, with a good white head formation with uneven-sized bubbles.
  • Aroma: a light fruitiness, bringing mango notes, shares place with sweet, vanilla-like notes, probably from the lactose.
  • Taste: the presence of herbal notes and unripe papaya notes are the most present flavors present on this beer. The bitterness of the beer appears right from the beginning of the sip and stays till the end of the sip, with medium harshness. As the beer heated on the glass, light green grape notes were perceived.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-high body, medium-high carbonation and a dry and short finish.
  • Overall: Maybe my can had problems because, despite being a good IPA, it fails to perform at the level that I’m used to get on Suricato beers.
This beer review was made by somebody which is studying every day to be a better beer drinker but, despite that, isn't a specialist or a beer sommelier. In advance, pardon for any gaffe. If you have any corrections or suggestions, please mail me.
