Three Monkeys Beer | I’m Damn Sour

Three Monkeys Beer | I’m Damn Sour

We have Tropicality! We have Paaaassion Fruuuiiit! We have Draaaagon Fruiiiit! Come, shopper! In here there's fruit, malt, hop, yeast and water. But in a very different, uncommon, excentric way. But wait, we aren't that sour. I'm Damn Sour is the fourth of our Sour line. A fresh, sour-ish, delicious beer. A fruit juice. A visual that comes from the dragon fruit presence. Unmistakable passion fruit taste and aroma. Only today, dear customer. It's cheap as chips! You'll like it. And, if you don't, I'm Damn Sour. (Source: Loosely translated from the beer's label.)

  • Beer: I'm Damn Sour
  • Style: Sour Ale (28C. Wild Specialty Beer - Pale Ale with dragon fruit and passion fruit fermented with Lactobacillus)
  • ABV: 6.3%
  • IBU: N/A
  • Brewery:
  • Look: golden pink color, clear, with good formation of a white head;
  • Aroma: the aroma is dominated by passion fruit notes. Very light medicinal-like notes are present as well;
  • Taste: the taste is dominated by a passion fruit taste. The middle of the sip brings some “dust-like”/”earth-like” notes (maybe resembling a fruit peel - could be the pitaya). Very light medicinal notes could be perceived as well.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-medium body, medium carbonation and a dry and short finish;
  • Overall: Good sour ale. The low presence of medicinal notes bothered me a little.
