Three Monkeys Beer | I’m Sour

We have Guaavaaaa! We have Dragon Fruuuiiit! Come, shopper! In here there's fruit, malt, hop, yeast and water. But in a very different, uncommon, excentric way. But wait, we aren't that sour. I'm Sour is the first beer of our Sour line. A fresh, sour-ish, delicious beer. A fruit juice. A visual that comes from the dragon fruit presence. Unmistakable guava taste and aroma. Come closer, beautiful people doesn't pay for it, but also don't take it. You'll like it. And, if you don't, I'm Sour. (Source: Loosely translated from the beer's label.)

  • Beer: I'm Sour
  • Style: Sour Ale (28C. Wild Specialty Beer - Pale Ale with dragon fruit and guava fermented with Lactobacillus)
  • ABV: 6.3%
  • IBU: N/A
  • Brewery:
  • Look: light pink color, turbid, with medium formation of a white head;
  • Aroma: there is a very strong presence of guava notes, in a overpowering way. As the beer heated on the glass, there was a hint of maraschino cherries notes.
  • Taste: At first, it’s very fruity, bringing guava notes. But the guava-like fruitiness doesn’t last alone for long, because citric, lemon-like notes show up, sharing the tastebuds’ attention with the guava notes. A medium acidity can be perceived as well.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-medium body, high carbonation and a dry and short finish;
  • Overall: Really, really good sour ale. Looks like guava + sour is a match made in heaven (Suricato Ales’ Goiabinha, I’m looking at you).
