Sumo was our inspiration for this strong beer, a New England Imperial IPA with yuzu, a rare japanese citric fruit that is very aromatic, with sicilian lemon, tangerine and grapefruit notes. This powerful IPA also has a hefty amount of Citra and Cascade hops on its dry hopping, bringing even more strength to the citric features that come from the yuzu.
The year: 2016. The project: Crowd Series. The first recipe: SMaSH Red IPA. Can you remember it? Back then, we used a hop that didn’t have an official name yet. We continuously were asked to bring back some of the Crowd Series beers back, and this is happening! We have here the new version of the SMaSH Red IPA, with a fruity and citric profile, using a single hop and malt varieties (Single Malt and Single Hop).
New England Double IPA with Passion Fruit and Curry, collab with the Japas Cervejaria.
It’s impossible to think in Japan without reminding of so many “cute” characters from mangas and animes. And there, all this cuteness has a name: Kawaii. Besides that, it’s a culture that became a lifestyle with so many adepts around the world and that now became inspiration to our beer. It also means something innocent, pure, but not exclusively sweet, that’s why we created a Smoothie NE IPA, with a light bitterness, tasty, velvety and with a touch of blackberry and raspberry.
Foxholes were shelters built by the Easy Company American paratroopers during the Battle of the Bulge on World War II, Hitler’s trump card on the Western Flank. Foxhole Double New England IPA was created in honor to the ones that tumbled. A real citric and fruity aromas shelter. Live this experience!
New recipe from the Milkshake series, Summer Edition is a New England IPA that, besides the lactose and apple juice addition that the previous recipe had, it also has mango juice.
Tomahawk Double New England IPA is a fucking explosion: an explosion of flavors and aromas. Loaded with a high amount of hops and a velvety body that has an intense citric and fruity flavor. An authentic hopped bomb that will disturb the most restless minds.
110 years ago, on June 18, the Kasato Maru disembarked on the Santos’ port, bringing the first 781 japanese immigrants to our country. Our release is a tribute to all the immigrants and descendants that inherited and spreaded this culture that totally influenced our cultural formation. Our beer will be a New England IPA, refreshing, hopped and with 6.5% ABV, with Dekopon addition on its recipe. A fruit of japanese origin that arrived as an “immigrant” in our country.
