Learning Series’ #4: Single Hop Citra American Pale Ale

The fourth beer that I brewed.

This time, I tried brewing an American Pale Ale but, for the sake of isolating a hop, I used a single hop on this recipe: Citra.

Also, I used CervaSerra’s 30L equipment and CervaSerra’s cold room once again.

Mash Steps

1. Saccharification: Add 16.56 l of water at 72.0 °C, aiming for a 66.7 °C step temperature, for 60 minutes

  1. Fly Sparge: With 22.15 l water at 75.6 °C

  1. Step Temperature: 18 °C

Bottling

  • Volumes of CO2: 2.5
  • Carbonation Origin: Bottle with 127.01 g Corn Sugar
